Kurtis Johnson’s Blog

today our entire school closed down to go work at this place called “city of refuge.” its in the worst part of atlanta. statistics prove that this is the most unsafe place to visit, thus making it the most dangerous neighborhood in the southeastern united states. ha. and its only a few miles up the road from where i live. we just go to this place to serve and do whatever they need us to do. i just cleaned up around the area and helped clean up trash on the roads and stuff. sounds boring, but its cool that you get to do something like that. if you have ever played the game “grand theft auto,” its actually very similar. not quite as hectic, but its still really bad. there are random people walking everywhere hollering and stuff, even fighting. cops and ambulances everywhere. its sad. i have an awesome pic of me hitting cement with a sledge hammer. CHECK OUT MY FACE!!!!! HAHAHAHAA

the whole experience is very humbling. it makes you realize how good you have it. its one thing to see how poor other countries are, but its different seeing how rough it is only a few minutes away from where you live. its a pretty serious wake up call.

anyways… im out.

so i know i was supposed to write in here more, but i havent gotten around to it. i always start writing one and then i just quit half way through because i decide its too dumb. ill be very surprised if anyone ends up reading this.

i do think i have an awesome girlfriend. shes great. i am glad that im the guy that gets to call her his girlfriend and has been able to for nearly 3 years! its good news for me!

but anyways, im gonna try to take funny pictures or something to upload on here. i have to do something to make this more interesting. ha. im off to sleep.

wow, i havent written in this thing in forever. i dont even know what to write about. lets see……. im pretty much sitting in philosophy class right now and i have no idea what hes talking about. we just had a paper due, and hes probably going to laugh at it. i wrote 5 pages on God knows what.

if you read any of my old  blogs, you know how stressed i was. i parted ways with my old church and job which helped a lot. we parted on good terms though. which is good. but it has been nice not having to worry about whether or not music happens on sunday morning at church. it has been nice just to go chill and enjoy church instead of being the one who carries so much of it on your shoulders. i will say im poor now, but thats ok. ha

the music has been going good. we are in the studio working on new jams. we will be done recording by the end of next week. im excited to hear what its going to sound like!

thats all i can think of to write about for now. im going to try to get back to using this think.
